Babai and Three Windows and a Hanging in competition for European Film Awards

For the first time, two kosovan films are in the selection list among 52 films for the 28th edition of European Film Awards. Babai and Three Windows and a Hanging are on the list of films recommended for nomination for the European Film Awards 2015!

Babai, a debut film written and directed by Visar Morina has had an immense success, having its international premiere in Karlovy Vary. The film won best directing in main competition in Karlovy Vary. Also Babai was awarded with three prizes at Film Fest Munchen in the category of German New Talent Award.

Three Windows and a Hanging written by Zymber Kelmendi and directed by Isa Qosja was selected as the Kosovan entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 87th Academy Awards, but was not nominated. Last year was the first time that Kosovo submitted a film in this category. The film won ‘In Spirit for Freedom Award’ as Best Feature on Jerusalem Film Festival also a several other awards.
